Why not make a gender-neutral version of this? I've had this experience with some people, but I'm not a boyfriend obviously, so I can't use the term.

@ Butters

I thought about it, but its hard to make a gender neutral version of it because Twilight's characterization isn't gender neutral. It strongly emphasis stereotypical gender roles.

err..isn't that like... EVERY girlfriend?

LOL. Interesting.

What bought this to your mind? :P

Huh? Twilight's characteristics arent gender-neutral because you made them not gender-neutral :|

That's like saying you have to use gender stereotypes because gender stereotypes exist. You can make it gender-neutral by changing the words.

I made Twilight not gender-neutral? That doesn't make any sense. I didn't write Twilight, Stephenie Meyer did. She made the characters what they are, not me.

Yes, but you reinforced... never mind. I don't care anymore.

That's SOO like a 'man'.
What about when the boyfriend starts sprouting what you should do with your life and imposing all those restrictions and telling you not to be friends with any guy and stuff?

@ Mayhem

That's when the boyfriend would deserve to be made the object of sarcasm :)

I think both of them deserve the same 'scorn'. Desperation leads to unrequited, absurd relationships.
