Oh that was very beautiful. The language was Spanish or Portuguese I guess but still the composition was encouraging. To me it sounded like sun and dawn and hope and happy tears. At places it reminded me of the begining song of Lion King (part 1) because of similarity of instruments and language I think. The use of conga with bass drum was excellent.

Undoubtedly, one of the reason's behind Lord of the Ring's success was Enya's brilliant soundtrack.

well i guess the success of LORD OF THE RINGS was due to its unmatched deep muzik no matter if it was enya's or someone else's.

this was one of the first songs by ENYA...with with they had their big success in europe and all over the world. Besides Adiemus is neither Spanish nor Portuguese nor any other living or dead language (I was thinking of Latin). That's what i found:

"First, Adiemus, like any of the tracks on the Adiemus albums, are not in any language. The 'lyrics' are made from syllables and 'words' invented by Karl Jenkins, the composer."

I remember when the 9/11 happened and they showed the images of the planes crashing in the WTC CNN played Enya songs in the background...and a new emotional association was bound to Enya!

Thank you so so much for shaing this one. I haven't heard of Enya before, but after hearing this one and a couple of her other songs, I know I'm a big fan of hers. Yes, her music, and her lyrics (as I heard in Pilgrim) are great, inspiring, and tug at the depths of the listener's soul.

Thanks a lot.
